ANDRE, Singapore

08 august 2011 / lifestyle / singapore

Singaporean Chef André Chiang might be revered for his artisanal French cuisine and his deeply philosophical culinary theory Octaphilospy, but the chef has another talent that has perhaps been overshadowed by his culinary success.

ANDRE, the chef’s new restaurant set in an intimate three-storey shophouse in Bukit Pasoh, showcases André’s penchant for art, specifically his pottery skills that have been translated into the delicately-crafted plates and art pieces on display throughout the restaurant. The idea is that dining is not just about what is on the plate, but should be designed as, in the chef’s words, “a definite holistic experience.”
